Edition 2025 — Winter Market TXL
The opening edition of the Winter Market at the former Tegel Airport TXL took place on November 29 and 30, 2025. Saturday 2 PM–10 PM, Sunday 12 PM–8 PM. Admission: Donation. Live program in the Old Freight Canteen, gift stalls, and Christmas treats — the new Berlin format attracted an interested audience from Reinickendorf and the surrounding area.
The inaugural 2025 edition used the temporarily occupied Old Freight Canteen for the first time for an Advent event. The concept of a Christmas program combined with the nostalgic atmosphere of the former airport worked well — many Berliners associate Tegel with personal travel memories, as the airport was in operation from 1948 to 2020. The format established itself in its first edition as a family-friendly alternative to Berlin's large commercial Advent markets.
