With a season of almost three months, the Winterzauber am Bergström is Lüneburg's longest-running winter market format. Three phases can be distinguished: From October 25th to November 19th, the market runs as a pure winter staging without a classic Christmas theme. From November 19th to December 24th, it complements the city center's extensive Advent offerings as part of the Christmas City. From December 26th to January 10th, it bridges the time after Christmas when the classic markets have long since closed and the city longs for meeting points in the January days.

The organizer is the Hotel Bergström, one of the most renowned hotels in the Hanseatic city, which offers an extraordinary setting with its terraces by the water.
