Zossen South of Berlin

Zossen is a medium-sized town in the Teltow-Fläming district, located south of Berlin, with a historically grown town centre and a mix of Berlin commuters, regional businesses, and Brandenburg traditions. The town centre around the Rathaus courtyard forms the public heart of the city — and once a year in September, this is where the Wine Festival in the Courtyards takes place.

Courtyards as a Festival Concept

Unlike a classic wine market, the Zossen wine festival is spread across several courtyards: The Rathaus courtyard is the central anchor point, and in addition, delicatessens, boutiques, cafés, and smaller wine and gourmet shops open their own courtyard areas. The concept activates the town centre's architecture and makes the stroll from courtyard to courtyard part of the festival experience — wine glasses are carried along, and each station offers a different selection of wines, small dishes, or programme items.

Programme and Live Music

The programme includes wine tastings from various German and European growing regions, dance performances, live music on a small stage in the Rathaus courtyard, and a fashion show — the latter in cooperation with local boutiques. The format is compact, cosy, and particularly attractive for a day audience, including Berliners and residents of the Brandenburg surrounding area.

September Date in the Seasonal Sequence

Previous editions took place in the first half of September or early October (2024: October 6, 2025: September 13). In 2026, the wine festival is announced for September 5 — a classic late summer date that fits well into the Brandenburg wine festival spectrum with Werder, Reckahn, and other locations.
