Overview
In 2025, the Wikingertage Friedrichskoog also took place at the Old Harbour. Viking camp, shield wall tactics, wool dyeing, and mead tasting transported visitors to the world of the early Middle Ages.
The 2025 Wikingertage followed the established format: a weekend at the Old Harbour with historical traders, warrior displays, craft demonstrations, and Nordic-medieval music. Families, medieval fans, and day visitors from Dithmarschen and the surrounding area filled the harbour grounds over both days.
As always, the spectrum was broad – from historical archery and wool dyeing with natural dyes to mead tasting. The atmosphere at the harbour basin made the market more than just a Viking theme park.
