Overview

In 2025, the Wikingersommer at the Roter Haubarg once again invited visitors for the Midsummer weekend: two days of Viking camp, combat demonstrations, market, and a fire show on Saturday evening. The organizer was again Die Rattenbäcker from Uelvesbüll, and the admission remained at the symbolic 99-cent rate.

The 2025 edition followed the now-established format: market opening on Saturday morning, combat demonstrations and participation stations spread throughout the day, Viking wedding in the afternoon, and fire show and Midsummer celebration in the evening. The Sunday program concluded as scheduled at 6 PM.

The Roter Haubarg on the Eiderstedt peninsula in the Nordfriesland district has been a proven venue for historically staged festivals for years — the backdrop of the thatched-roof farmhouse suits the Viking theme like few others in Schleswig-Holstein.
