Westbesuch — Plagwitz Neighborhood Festival

The 2025 edition confirmed the concept of "Culture Islands": instead of a main stage and a single festival logic, there are dozens of small stations, each with its own character — studio workshop, reading stage, acoustic concert, discussion forum. This decentralized approach makes Westbesuch a festival that functions more like an extended neighborhood stroll than a classic event.

In 2025, Westbesuch e.V. collaborated with local initiatives, artists, and food truck operators from Leipzig's west. The mix of established and new players shaped the program — the concept will be continued in 2026 with two dates.
