Edition 2025 — Werdauer Volksfest
The Werdauer Volksfest 2025 confirmed the new format, which replaces the classic city festival character and focuses more on a folk festival atmosphere. Three days on the market square with rides, a stage programme, and a festival tent — the festival definitively established itself as an annual event in Werdau's autumn calendar.
The Werdau city administration and participating clubs drew a positive conclusion in 2025: the new folk festival format is bringing more visitors back to the city centre than the previous city festival. Residents of the town and day-trippers from the Zwickau district used the September weekend for a stroll around the market square.
The mix of showmen, a regional stage, and national artists has proven to be a viable concept. The festival will continue in the same format in 2026.
