Werchau Village Festival with Pond Boating

As in previous years, the residents of the Werchau district celebrated their village festival in June 2025, at and around the village pond. The evening opening on Friday marked the start, followed by a full-day Saturday with the traditional pond boating as the highlight.

Over the years, the event has become a firm fixture in the event calendar of the town of Schlieben and the Schliebener Land. Village festivals like the one in Werchau play an important role in community life in the rural south of Brandenburg and in the identity of the small villages in the Elbe-Elster district.
