Overview

In 2025, the Weißenstadt Folk and Meadow Festival also took place in mid-July at the festival grounds on the Anger. Five days of festivities with a parade, Jersey Day on Meadow Monday, brass bands, live music, amusement rides, and festival catering with Bavarian cuisine — a fixed date in the Fichtelgebirge summer calendar and Bavarian intangible cultural heritage.

The 2025 meadow festival in Bad Weißenstadt am See followed the established structure: five days of festivities at the Anger festival grounds, a parade on Meadow Monday with brass bands like the Krebsbacker Kapelle and the Kirchenlamitz Spielmannszug, Jersey Day, Family Day with special rates on amusement rides, evening festival catering in the tent, and a closing celebration on Tuesday.

As every year, locals, guests from the state-recognized spa town, and summer tourists from the Fichtelgebirge and Upper Franconia attended the festival. The town recorded stable attendance and used the festival to emphasize the cultural significance of the meadow festival as Bavarian intangible cultural heritage.
