5.5 km wine hike with eight wineries and brass band accompaniment
Wine hikes are particularly attractive tasting formats because they combine physical activity, experiencing nature, and wine enjoyment. Hikers traverse a scenically attractive route at their own pace, with wines offered for tasting at various stations. The Langenlonsheim wine hike is one of the most prominent examples of this format in the Nahe wine-growing region.
The route is moderately long at about 5.5 km and is easily manageable for most hikers, even at a slow pace. It leads through the Langenlonsheim vineyards with their diverse locations and culminates in the forest area where the subsequent forest festival takes place. The landscape showcases the diversity of the northern Nahe region.
Eight Langenlonsheim wineries participate, distributed across four wine stands along the route. This creates a tasting experience where hikers progressively get to know different styles and producers. The stands are positioned to ensure sufficient walking distance between tastings.
The brass bands from the neighboring towns of Guldental and Fürfeld provide the musical accompaniment. They play at various stations along the route and at the forest festival, creating the festive atmosphere that is part of the tradition of Palatinate and Nahe wine hikes.
The 2026 edition continues the popular format of wine hiking and forest festival. A Sunday in the Langenlonsheim vineyards and the adjacent forest, accompanied by brass bands and with tastings at several stations.
The exact route and the list of participating wineries will be published by the local municipality of Langenlonsheim in late summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years.
