Weinfest Oldenburg

The Weinfest Oldenburg is the late summer addition to the Weinmeile and a firm fixture in the Oldenburg event calendar. While the Weinmeile sets international accents in August, the Weinfest in September focuses specifically on German wine-growing regions.

Winemakers from German Growing Regions

The participating winemakers come from the classic German wine regions — Rheinhessen, Pfalz, Mosel, Nahe, Rheingau, Württemberg, Baden, Franken, Saale-Unstrut, and Sachsen are regularly represented. The spectrum ranges from Rieslings and Weissburgunder to Spätburgunder, cuvées, and sparkling wines.

Culinary Accompanying Programme

Accompanying the wines, selected restaurateurs offer small dishes and snacks that are coordinated with the wine tasting. Cheese platters, Flammkuchen, hearty snacks, and regional specialties complement the offerings.

Jazz Brunch on Sunday

Sunday traditionally starts with a Jazz Brunch from 11 AM. Live jazz combos provide the musical accompaniment, while visitors can enjoy the Schlossplatz with a late breakfast or a first glass of wine of the day.

Schlossplatz Atmosphere

The choice of Schlossplatz as the venue creates a special atmosphere. The Oldenburg Palace as a backdrop, the surrounding downtown architecture, and the central location make the Weinfest an urban enjoyment festival.

Opening Hours and Admission

Thursday 3 PM–10 PM, Friday 3 PM–12 AM, Saturday 1 PM–12 AM, Sunday 11 AM–5 PM. Admission is free; wines and food are purchased on-site via deposit systems.
