Weinfest Holsterhausen Essen — Edition 2025

Before the Premiere

In 2025, the Weinfest Holsterhausen had not yet taken place. The local association AGIL — founded in 2022 — was preparing the inaugural edition for 2026. Although Holsterhausen already had a weekly market and a district festival, a dedicated wine festival did not exist until then.

Essen hosts several established wine events, such as the Kettwig Wine Festival or the wine mile as part of Essen Original. The Weinfest Holsterhausen complements this tradition with its own format in the western part of the city and fits into the growing restaurant mile around Gemarkenstraße.
