52nd Dieblich Wine Festival

Dieblich is a small Mosel community in the Mayen-Koblenz district, located on the right bank of the Moselle between Koblenz and the Maifeld. With just under 1,700 inhabitants, a historic St. Johannes parish church, and a direct location on the river, Dieblich is a typical Mosel wine village with tradition. The annual wine festival, which will take place for the 52nd time in 2026, is one of the village's central social events.

The festival runs from August 21st to 23rd, 2026 – Friday to Sunday, making it a classic weekend wine festival. The venue is the village center, which will be equipped with wine stands, a festival tent, and stage areas for the event. Dieblich's historic substance, with its half-timbered and slate houses, forms a charming backdrop for a wine and local festival.

The focus is on the wines of the Dieblich and Untermosel vintners. On the steep slate slopes of the Untermosel, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Elbling thrive – varieties characteristic of the region. Pinot Noir and other red varieties complement the assortment. The vintners serve their wines directly at the stands, often accompanied by explanations of vineyard sites, vintages, and taste profiles.

The Untermosel has experienced remarkable qualitative development in recent years: young vintners have rediscovered the potential of the steep slopes and developed wines that are gaining international attention. The Dieblich Wine Festival is a great opportunity to experience this development through direct conversation with the producers.

The festival is accompanied by live music in the festival tent – usually regional bands with a mix of mood and dance music that suits the wine festival atmosphere. Sunday is dedicated to families with a morning pint, lunch, and a quieter program.

Dieblich is conveniently located: by train (Dieblich station on the Moselle line), by car via the B 49, or by bike on the Moselle Cycle Path. Its proximity to Koblenz and the Moselle also makes the festival attractive for day-trippers.
