Overview

In 2025, Family & Friends e.V. once again transformed Ludwig-Beck-Platz into a curated Advent market featuring winemakers, arts and crafts, and the Jazz Santas. The format once again proved to be a quiet, high-quality alternative to the touristy Berlin Christmas markets in the city centre.

The 2025 edition continued the tradition established several years ago. Four family wineries from Rheinhessen and Franken offered their wines for tasting and sale, while over 80 artisans showcased glasswork, jewellery, textiles, and ceramics. On stage, the Jazz Santas performed, and the Christmas Elephant Jochen provided entertainment.

As in previous years, the format proved to be an advent neighbourhood festival – a curated mini-Advent market for the Lichterfelde community, which also attracts a growing audience from all over southern Berlin. Family & Friends e.V. once again used the event to generate funds for local and international educational and social projects.
