Seven Stations, One Mile
The Wein-Meile Rachtig focuses on a clearly structured concept: Seven vintners and restaurateurs along a continuous festival mile through the Rachtig district open their courtyards, barns, and outdoor areas to form a joint festival route. Visitors walk between the stations, taste wines directly from the vintners, and enjoy regional dishes.
From Late Summer Aperitif to Evening Festivities
The program starts on Friday, August 28th, 2026, from 4 PM – ideal for a late summer aperitif after work. On Saturday and Sunday, the stations open from 11 AM, making the festival suitable for early drinks and family afternoons. The atmosphere changes throughout the day: calm and contemplative at midday, lively and convivial in the evening.
Seven Different Styles
The seven participating stations differ in style and concept: Some vintners focus on classic wine tasting in the vinotheque, others offer courtyard festivals with live music and an extensive food menu, while others organize intimate tastings in barns or courtyards. This diversity is the special charm of the Wein-Meile: seven very different Mosel wineries and gastronomic concepts can be experienced on a single route.
A Late Summer Alternative
In the dense Mosel event calendar, the Wein-Meile Rachtig offers an attractive alternative to the big folk festivals and wine fairs: more compact in format, more personal in interaction, more concentrated in quality, and in a very authentic village setting.
Wein-Meile Rachtig — edition 2026
The 2026 edition continues the proven concept. The seven participating stations coordinate their opening hours and joint marketing, but retain their individual atmosphere. Visitors receive an overview map of the stations at the entrance to the Wein-Meile.
The format is particularly suitable for weekend trips to the Middle Mosel: those arriving on Friday evening can experience the after-work atmosphere, make full use of Saturday, and start a relaxed journey home on Sunday afternoon with a final glass.

Schedule August 28 – 30, 2026
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in late summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
- Friday 28.08. from 4:00 PM: Opening of the Wein-Meile (After-Work), welcome aperitif at the seven stations, first live music in individual courtyards
- Saturday 29.08. from 11:00 AM: Full festival operation from midday until late, live music in several courtyards, main evening with the largest audience
- Sunday 30.08. from 11:00 AM: Early drinks and family afternoon, quieter winding down in the evening

Getting There
Zeltingen-Rachtig is located on the B 53 and is easily accessible by car. By train, you can connect via Wittlich or Bullay with a bus connection.
Responsible Drinking
Those who wish to visit multiple stations are asked to use public transport, carpooling, or overnight accommodations.
Admission
Free admission. Wine and food are paid for on-site at the stations (glass service, regional menu).
