Weimar Christmas 2025 – Review

From the eve of the first Sunday in Advent until early January 2026, Weimar once again transformed into one of Thuringia's most beautiful Advent cities. The rows of stalls between Market Square and Theater Square offered arts and crafts, regional specialties, mulled wine, and Thuringian bratwurst. Choirs and small bands performed daily in front of the Town Hall.

The highlight in 2025, as usual, was the Bauhaus Christmas Market in December, which combined the classic format with a modern design approach. The ice rink at the Goethe-Schiller Monument attracted families and tourists. Overall, the status of Weimar Christmas as one of Central Germany's most atmospheric Advent markets was confirmed.

Highlights

Bauhaus Christmas Market in December, ice rink at the Goethe-Schiller Monument, daily choir and music program.
