In August 2025, Weimar once again celebrated the birthday of its most famous citizen. The Klassik Stiftung opened its houses with free admission — Goethe House, Schiller House, Goethe's Garden House, and the Anna Amalia Library were well-attended throughout the day. Readings, concerts with music from Goethe's time, and discussions characterized the program. In 2026, the tradition continues with the 277th birthday.
