About Weil der Stadt Fasnet
Weil der Stadt Fasnet — edition 2026
Fasnet Parade on the Market Square under the Kepler Monument
On Fasnet Sunday, February 15, 2026, the grand traditional Fasnet parade will march through the historic old town of Weil der Stadt starting at 2 PM. Over 60 floats, groups, and music bands from the Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet region — friendly guilds from the Würm Valley, Heckengäu, Schönbuch, and the Swabian Jura — will follow the AHA figures of the host guild. Thousands of spectators, estimated at around 30,000, will line the parade route.
The 2026 motto — "Bob der Zunftmeister" — will be humorously implemented in the floats, costumes, and stagings. Bob, the current guild master of the "AHA", represents the club leadership and is both affectionately portrayed and satirically lampooned — typical of the self-ironic style of the Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet.

Highlight of the Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet in the Würm Valley
On Fasnet Sunday, February 15, 2026, the Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet of Weil der Stadt reaches its climax. The grand traditional Fasnet parade starts at 2 PM through the historic old town of the Kepler City — over 60 floats, groups, and music bands from the entire Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet region, around 30,000 spectators line the streets. Organizer is the Narrenzunft "AHA" Weil der Stadt e.V., one of the renowned guilds of the region.
Motto 2026: "Bob der Zunftmeister"
The motto of the Weiler Fasnet 2026 — "Bob der Zunftmeister" — refers to the charismatic guild master Bob, who shapes the destiny of the "AHA". The float builders of the participating clubs humorously and ironically interpret the motto — from allusions to local politics to creative stagings around the guild master himself. This choice of motto is typical of the style of the Weiler Fasnet: down-to-earth, with a wink, but deeply rooted in local identity.
The Weiler Fasnet — An Entire High Season
The Fasnet parade is not the only Fasnet event in Weil der Stadt. The Fasnet season extends over several weeks with further highlights: On January 24, the Zunftball with Narrenmesse takes place — the social start of the season. On February 8, the Narrensprung marches through the city center — the preparation for the grand parade a week later. On February 17 (Fasnet Tuesday), the Kinderfasnet follows with a special program for the youngest fools. The season only ends on Ash Wednesday.
The Narrenzunft "AHA" Weil der Stadt
The Narrenzunft "AHA" Weil der Stadt e.V. is the central organizer of the Weiler Fasnet. With its main figures — the AHA hens, the AHA rooster, the witches, and the Schalksnarren — it shapes the image of the city during the Fasnet season. The association is one of the traditional guilds of the Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet and a member of the Association of Swabian-Alemannic Narrenzünfte (VSAN). Its commitment extends far beyond the Fasnet season — youth work, tradition care, cultural education.
Weil der Stadt — Kepler City and Imperial Free Town
Weil der Stadt, with around 20,000 inhabitants, is a town in the district of Böblingen, located about 30 kilometers west of Stuttgart in the Würm Valley. The town is primarily famous as the birthplace of the astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571–1630) — the market square with the Kepler monument is one of the most beautiful cityscapes in Southern Germany. The medieval town layout with preserved city walls, the baroque market square, and its location in the Würm valley make Weil der Stadt one of the most attractive small towns around Stuttgart. The Fasnet parade takes place against precisely this backdrop.
