Village Christmas Market in Saterland

The Weihnachtsmarkt Strücklingen is a typical village Christmas market in the Strücklingen district of the municipality of Saterland. The venue is the festively decorated parking lot at St. Georg Church, which transforms into an atmospheric Advent landscape — with fairy lights, fir green, and the evocative sound of church bells.

The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday, December 5 (2nd Saturday of Advent). The opening is traditionally from 3:30 PM — the ideal time for a late afternoon, as dusk falls and the lights come into their own.

Music and Family Program

The local music club provides the musical accompaniment with Christmas and brass music. The carousel for children is free — a gesture from the village community to families. St. Nicholas visits the market and gives gifts to the children.
