Overview

The artisanal Christmas market at Mexikoplatz again opened its stalls on all four Advent Sundays in 2025. Cornelja Hasler and the KUNSTHAND-BERLIN team gathered around 100 craftswomen and designers in front of the Art Nouveau S-Bahn station Mexikoplatz in southern Zehlendorf. Jewellery, ceramics, textiles, books, and woodcrafts – exclusively handmade items, no mass-produced goods.

The Artisanal Christmas Market at Mexikoplatz 2025 continued the tradition of the finest Advent market in Berlin's southwest. On all four Advent Sundays, the square in front of the Mexikoplatz S-Bahn station in the Zehlendorf district transformed into a semicircle of wooden booths and fir trees, with around 100 craftswomen and designers presenting their creations.

The selection ranged – as in previous years – from silver and porcelain jewellery to Berlin ceramics with characteristic glazes, textile printing, illustrated books, and small woodcrafts. The market was curated by Cornelja Hasler (KUNSTHAND-BERLIN), who has enforced the strict rule for years: only those who have designed and manufactured their products themselves sell here.

Admission was free, as always. Despite the concurrent U3 construction work in the area, the market was able to take place as scheduled with the consent of the BVG, underscoring its status as one of Berlin's most beautiful and high-quality Advent markets.
