It may seem unusual at first glance that a carnival club organizes a Christmas market – but in the Palatinate, this connection is typical. Clubs are not only involved in their core area but also contribute to the entire festive life of a community. The Karnevalverein Lustavia, with its Christmas market, is an example of this comprehensive club commitment and provides a high-quality Advent offering in Lustadt.

Kulturscheune and Rathaushof

The Lustadt Kulturscheune is a historic building that serves as a venue for concerts, theater performances, and cultural events. In Advent, it is the core of the Christmas market, complemented by the adjacent Rathaushof as an open festival area. Lustadt is a Southern Palatinate twin municipality of Niederlustadt and Oberlustadt with a total of around 3500 inhabitants and belongs to the Lingenfeld association municipality. The Christmas market attracts visitors from the neighboring municipalities of Hochstadt, Lingenfeld, Schwegenheim, and Weingarten. By scheduling it at the end of November, it is deliberately placed at the beginning of the Southern Palatinate Advent season.
