Overview

In 2025, the Langenwolschendorf Volunteer Fire Department again organized the traditional village Christmas market on the third Sunday of Advent at the community square. The established stalls of the village associations, mulled wine, a brass choir, and the annual tombola were part of the regular programme — the tombola proceeds again went to the children's wards of the Jena University Hospital and the Langenwolschendorf youth fire department.

The 2025 market continued the long-standing tradition: village associations ran stalls, neighbours brought stollen and cookies, and the fire department association served bratwurst and mulled wine. The tombola was, as always, the heart of the event — community-based solidarity that directed donations directly to the children's wards in Jena and to their own youth fire department. The event once again confirmed the importance of small village Christmas markets as places of encounter and engagement.
