Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928–2007) is considered one of the most influential composers of the 20th century, revolutionizing music history with works such as "Helicopter String Quartet," "Gruppen für drei Orchester," and the monumental opera series "Licht." His former home in Kürten now houses the Stockhausen Foundation for Music and can be visited on special occasions.
