The venue is the Seebühne Otterndorf (lakeside stage) — the event area directly on the lake shore.

Water-Laser Show and Fireworks

The water-laser show uses the lake as a natural projection surface: high water fountains are combined with laser beams and light effects, accompanied by music — a modern multimedia spectacle. The grand finale is a large fireworks display over the lake.

Light Flea Market

Accompanying the event is a "Lichterflohmarkt" (light flea market) around the lakeside stage. Hundreds of lights and fairy lights bathe the stalls in a warm atmosphere. The offerings include: bric-a-brac, crafts, antiques, homemade goods — and culinary treats from regional snack stands.

Otterndorf is the historic town on the Elbe and Medem rivers in the Land Hadeln region. Otterndorf Lake — created from a former clay pit — is now a popular local recreation area with a lido, water sports, and an event venue. "See in Flammen" turns this waterscape into a grand stage once a year.
