Edition 2025 — Christmas Island Köpenick
In 2025, the Köpenick Christmas Island once again invited visitors to the castle square in front of Köpenick Castle for the Advent weekend. For three days, wooden huts, fairy lights, and the scent of mulled wine and roasted almonds transformed the historic square into a small Advent market. Free admission, organized by Laubinger Event GmbH. Families, locals, and day-trippers from Berlin were drawn to the baroque castle backdrop between the Dahme and Spree rivers.
The Köpenick Christmas Island 2025 continued the format of previous years: an extended Advent weekend on the castle square with arts and crafts, snacks, mulled wine, and a historic children's carousel. The castle facade was illuminated in the evenings, and the tower brass music from Köpenick Town Hall was traditionally part of the program. The market deliberately remained manageable in size – a neighborhood Advent market against a baroque backdrop in southeast Berlin.
