Weihnachtsmarkt Jungfernstieg – Weißer Zauber

The 2025 edition marked the 18th anniversary of the Weißer Zauber on the Binnenalster. For five weeks, Jungfernstieg transformed into an elegant winter landscape – a consciously Hanseatic counterpart to the more rustic Christmas markets of other major German cities.

The highlight, as every year, was the visit from St. Nicholas on December 6, 2025, at 4:30 PM: children who recited a poem or sang a song received a small gift. The Ferris wheel, the five fairy tale boats on the water, and the illuminated Alster Christmas tree formed the picturesque backdrop that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
