Overview

In December 2025, the Heinersdorf Volunteer Fire Brigade once again invited the neighbourhood to its Christmas market in front of the fire station on Romain-Rolland-Straße. Advent crafting, campfire, stick bread, waffles, mulled wine, and the traditional visit from St. Nicholas attracted families from all over Pankow. As every year, proceeds went to support the brigade's work.

The 2025 edition followed the established format. In the courtyard, an open campfire burned, children baked stick bread, and the craft table was busy all afternoon. Firefighters served mulled wine, waffles, and sausages, and St. Nicholas appeared in the late afternoon to distribute small gifts. Families from Heinersdorf, Pankow-Mitte, and Weißensee used the weekend for the start of Advent.

The event remains one of Berlin's least commercial Christmas formats – not a mulled wine market driven by wholesale, but a neighbourhood gathering with a clear purpose: supporting their own fire brigade and providing a warm, personal Advent moment for the community.
