In 2025, Attendorn's market square between the Südsauerlandmuseum and the parish church once again transformed into a small Christmas world for ten days. 11 wooden huts, a large mulled wine stand, a rotating club hut, and a stage program characterized the scene. On the 3rd Advent weekend, the market traditionally expanded into a "Christmas City" with extended Sunday shopping hours.
The Attendorn Christmas Market 2025 once again confirmed its reputation as an authentic small market with great community engagement. The 11 wooden huts on the market square attracted visitors from all over the Sauerland region. The rotating club hut — operated daily by a different club, kindergarten, or non-profit organization — became the social heart of the event. On the weekend of December 13th/14th, the market grew into a "Christmas City": the entire city center with additional stalls, extended Sunday shopping hours, and a packed program in the pedestrian zone. A successful market that deserves to be repeated in 2026.
