Overview

The 37th Weiden Literary Days took place in April 2025. As in previous years, the Regional Library Weiden brought German-speaking authors to the city's venues for over ten days – including novels, non-fiction, poetry, and readings for young readers.

In 2025, the Weiden Literary Days again presented a dense program. For ten days, the Regional Library Weiden curated a selection ranging from novels and non-fiction to cabaret and poetry, with readings held in the Regional Library, the New Town Hall, and other cultural institutions in the city. The festival remained true to its profile as one of the oldest continuously organized literary series in Northern Bavaria.

Planning for the 38th edition, themed "Tale of Sun and Night" and focusing on exile, departure, and Jewish-Bavarian life paths, began immediately after the festival in 2025.
