Overview

In 2025, the Wehringhausen Öffne Dich concept was part of the preparation phase for the "Klimapositives Wehringhausen" project. The Lifestyle & Culture group met regularly at co-werk, gathered ideas, built networks with local stakeholders, and planned the premiere of the neighbourhood festival for 2026.

In the run-up to the first official edition in 2026, the concept was developed over several months. Residents, local businesses, associations, and the Hatopia sustainability centre worked together on a format that aimed to combine climate protection with neighbourhood culture. Initial trial runs of individual programme elements took place in 2025 — for example, as part of association meetings, smaller neighbourhood events, and workshop series at co-werk. The official premiere is scheduled for July 4, 2026.
