Overview

In 2025, the Weddingmarkt also took over Leopoldplatz and surrounding locations with special markets and thematic specials. The 2025 season was the last before taking over Leopoldplatz from 2026 onwards — and laid the foundation for the new format with design market specials and collaborations with Neighborhood Day.

2025 was a transitional year for the Weddingmarkt: the organizers negotiated with the Mitte district office about taking over Leopoldplatz from 2026. In parallel, the regular markets (typically the second Sunday of the month) and special dates for Neighborhood Day, the Long Night of Districts, and the season-ending market in November continued.

The exhibitor structure remained stable — Berlin designers and artisans, many from Wedding itself, supplemented by visitors from Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, and Mitte. Street food was part of the concept as usual, with vendors from the surrounding neighborhoods.
