District Festival 2025 — Tradition of Traveling Hospitality

As every year, the Wartburgkreis celebrated its District Festival in 2025 in another member municipality. With a stage program, children's festival, regional food offerings, and an "Evening of Encounters," the festival connected the residents of the district, home to over 122,000 inhabitants. The formula — a free festival with a free shuttle, music from regional associations, and school performances — had proven successful over the years. The concept of traveling hospitality ensures that a different location is in the spotlight each year — in 2026, Wünschensuhl in the town of Werra-Suhl-Tal is next.
