The 2025 Wartburg Festival marked the 25th anniversary of the Südthüringisches Kammerorchester Foundation. Concerts were held in the Chapel and Castle Courtyard of the Wartburg, with Otto Sauter as artistic director and the Südthüringisches Kammerorchester. The highlight of 2025 was the gala concert '25 Years of the Südthüringisches Kammerorchester Foundation and Wartburg Festival' featuring works by Grieg, Bach, and Tchaikovsky on August 23, 2025.

Wartburg 2025 — 25th Anniversary

The 2025 season marked the 25th anniversary of the Südthüringisches Kammerorchester Foundation and thus a quarter-century of the Wartburg Festival. The highlight was the gala concert on August 23 in the Wartburg's festival hall: Grieg's Holberg Suite, Bach's Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 2 and 4, and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, complemented by the World Brass Association student ensemble under Otto Sauter. Further concerts were spread across July and August in the Chapel and Castle Courtyard.
