Overview

The Warburg Hanse Festival 2025 took place as usual on the last weekend of April on the Neustadtmarkt in the Hanseatic city of Warburg. The medieval market, the Hanseatic exhibition of friendly Hanseatic cities, medieval music, and a lively open Sunday shopping event characterized the two-day event.

The 2025 edition of the Warburg Hanse Festival was organized by Warburger Hanse e.V. and the Hanseatic City of Warburg on the Neustadtmarkt and in the adjacent city center. As in previous years, friendly Hanseatic cities from Westphalia and Lower Saxony were represented with their own stalls.

The medieval market included craft tents, juggler performances, magic and fakir shows, a fire show on Saturday evening, and a tavern game. Live music was provided by medieval bands. On Sunday, the City Biathlon took place, and Warburg's shops opened for the Sunday shopping event. Several thousand visitors from Ostwestfalen, the Sauerland, and nearby Lower Saxony attended the festival, reinforcing Warburg's status as an active Hanseatic city — another building block in the long-term goal of bringing the International Hanseatic Day to Warburg in 2036.
