Overview

The Wangener Kinder- und Heimatfest took place from July 24th to 27th, 2025. Four days of program in the medieval old town with the traditional parade on Sunday afternoon, organized by the Kinderfestkommission Wangen im Allgäu e.V. One of the most beautiful local festivals in the Ravensburg district once again attracted visitors from the entire Allgäu region.

Allgäu Traditional Heritage

In 2025, the Wangener Kinder- und Heimatfest also ran in its proven format. The parade on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, at 2:00 PM attracted thousands of spectators to the old town. Showmen's rides, the festival tent, and club stalls enlivened the market square, Postplatz, and the central streets throughout the festival week.

The format of the Wangen festival has been successful for generations: children are at the center, the festival strengthens their identification with their hometown, and the Allgäu's traditional costume heritage is visibly maintained. Wangen, with its listed buildings, provides the ideal backdrop — one of the images that tourists take away from the Allgäu.
