Overview

In 2025, the forest Christmas market at Landgut Krumme once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors from the Münsterland, the Ruhr area, and the Netherlands to Velen. For four Advent weekends, 1 million lights transformed the forest into a fairytale landscape, complemented by approx. 150 exhibitors, horse-drawn carriage rides, and Santa Claus visits. The combination of rustic farm atmosphere and elaborate light staging remained its unique selling proposition.

The 2025 edition built on the proven four-weekend concept: open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., 1 million lights in the forest, around 150 exhibitors in wooden huts, and a continuous, approximately 1.5 km long circular path through the immersive light installation.

Families with children once again benefited from horse-drawn carriage rides, the carousel, Santa Claus visits, and a packed children's program. As every year, the various mulled wines, potato pancakes, bratwurst, and stick bread sold well at the stalls of the Münsterland exhibitors. The market once again confirmed its status as one of the best themed Christmas markets in northwestern Germany.
