Overview

In 2025, the Waldhausfest again took place on Whitsun Monday in front of the Waldhaus Mehlmeisel. Families, hikers, and day-trippers from the Fichtelgebirge gathered for a day of market, wildlife park, regional cuisine, and activities related to forest and wildlife.

The 2025 edition of the Waldhausfest confirmed its concept as a Whitsun outing destination in the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park: in front of the Waldhaus Mehlmeisel, market, culinary offerings, and the wildlife park combined to create a relaxed family day.

For years, the Waldhaus Mehlmeisel has positioned itself as a forest information center with an adjoining wildlife enclosure – a concept that is setting a precedent with themed trails, events, and educational programs.

Prices

Admission to the festival grounds is free. Regular admission prices for the wildlife park apply.
