Overview

The 28th Walder Theatertage followed the established seasonal concept: StartRampe in May, the international street theatre highlight in June, further stage productions throughout the summer and autumn, and the prize-giving ceremony in November. The series was supported by broad community engagement.

In 2025, the season ran as usual from May to November across several Solingen venues. The International Street Theatre Festival in Wald was once again a highlight — acrobatics, performance, international companies, plus the art and culinary mile along Stresemannstraße.

The Theatre and Cabaret Prize was also awarded in 2025 — the annual recognition of the independent scene by the Walder Theatertage has established itself as a fixture in the Bergisches cultural calendar. The organisers and sponsors were again the City of Solingen, the state of NRW, and private sponsors.
