Open-air concert season with Sean Paul, Foreigner, ZZ Top, Michael Patrick Kelly and Fury In The Slaughterhouse
For decades, the Waldbühne Northeim has been a fixture in the German concert summer. Its location in a natural hollow at the edge of the forest creates acoustics that are equally appreciated by musicians and audiences. With a capacity for around 6,000 visitors, the stage offers the intimate setting of a medium-sized open-air event while also providing the professional infrastructure of an international concert venue.
The 2026 season kicks off on May 22 with Jamaican reggae and dancehall star Sean Paul, who has been conquering international charts since the early 2000s with hits like "Get Busy," "We Be Burnin'," and "Temperature." DJ C.I.G. will perform as the supporting act. A summer evening that brings the Caribbean to the Northeim forest.
On June 12, 2026, the legendary rock band Foreigner will perform at the Waldbühne to celebrate their 50th anniversary. With classics like "I Want to Know What Love Is," "Cold as Ice," and "Waiting for a Girl Like You," Foreigner is among the best-selling rock bands of all time. The Saint Cecilia will perform as the supporting act.
On July 4, 2026, Texas rock legends ZZ Top will play at the Waldbühne. With their iconic beards and hits like "Sharp Dressed Man," "Gimme All Your Lovin'," and "La Grange," they are a phenomenon in rock history. The concert is already sold out — a testament to the appeal of the Northeim stage.
On August 21, 2026, Michael Patrick Kelly will stop in Northeim with his Traces Open Air Tour. The former Kelly Family singer has been captivating audiences for years as a solo artist with emotional songs and a strong stage presence.
On August 29, 2026, Fury In The Slaughterhouse will close the concert season with their "Fury Live Twenty Six" tour. Pohlmann will perform as the supporting act. The Hanover-based rock band, known in the 1990s for hits like "Won't Forget These Days" and "Radio Orchid," returns to Northeim, concluding a top-class concert year.
The 2026 season is one of the most packed and strongest in the history of the Waldbühne Northeim. Five concerts featuring internationally and nationally renowned artists are spread across four summer months.
The natural acoustics of the Waldbühne, the intimate atmosphere, and the scenic location make every concert evening a special experience.
