Overview

The Wahlstedt Marksmen Festival 2025 took place as usual on a weekend in June on the Schützenplatz Scharnhorststraße. Programme: King's Shoot of the Wahlstedt Marksmen's Guild, competitions, Children's Bird Shooting, catering, and club life. Organizer: Wahlstedt Marksmen's Guild e.V. since 1665. Free admission.

The 2025 edition continued Wahlstedt's centuries-old marksmen festival tradition. As always, the focus was on the King's Shoot, the crowning of the new Queen/King, and social club life. The Children's Bird Shooting took place in parallel in the AquaFUN area and introduced the youngest generation to the club tradition.

The Wahlstedt Marksmen's Guild is one of the oldest marksmen's clubs in Schleswig-Holstein. It was founded in 1665, long before Wahlstedt was even a town in its own right. The Marksmen Festival is therefore historic in several respects — as a club festival, as a town festival, and as a link to the pre-modern history of the Segeberg district.
