Vorsfelde in Advent

Vorsfelde — an old market town, incorporated into Wolfsburg in 1972 — retains its own character and hosts a small, intimate Christmas market during the Advent season. The Ütschenpaul monument forms the spatial center: a historical monument in the center of Vorsfelde, which is now framed by fairy lights, fir green, and wooden huts for the Advent weekend.

Seven Wooden Huts

With only seven wooden huts, the Vorsfelder Weihnachtsmarkt is deliberately small in scale. This concentration creates a cohesive, personal atmosphere — unlike large city markets. Associations, local restaurateurs, and volunteers operate the huts.

Offerings

Classically, the market offers mulled wine, punch, bratwurst, potato pancakes, crêpes, roasted almonds, soups, and Christmas sweets. A community hut presents Vorsfelde initiatives and often collects donations for charitable causes.
