Folk Shooting Festival in Neuland
Neuland is one of the districts of the municipality of Barßel in the northern district of Cloppenburg. The Volksschützenfest Neuland is organized by the Schützenverein Neuland e.V. and is one of the highlights of the club's year. Unlike some shooting festivals that primarily cater to the club family, the Volksschützenfest expressly sees itself as an invitation to the entire village community.
Program in Several Stages
The festival begins with the eagle and king shooting on Saturday, August 8, 2026. A week later, the three-day folk shooting festival follows with a detailed program: on Saturday, August 15, wreath-laying at 1:45 PM, children's afternoon from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, formation of the new royal couple at 5:30 PM, and king's ball at 7:30 PM. On Sunday, August 16, assembly at 1:00 PM and festive parade at 2:00 PM.
Three Festival Days in Neuland
The Volksschützenfest spans three days from Saturday to Monday. The focus is on honoring the new royal couple, the festive parade through Neuland with the marching band and club banners, and the dance evenings in the festival tent with a live band. Food stalls, a bar, and children's entertainment complete the program.
