Overview
The 34th edition of the Volkslauf through the beautiful Alstertal took place in September 2025. With a half marathon, 10 km, 4 km, a 1.5 km beginner run, and a 400 m children's run, Lauftreff Alstertal e.V. offered five distances for all levels. The route through Teetzpark, Torhaus Wellingsbüttel, Poppenbüttel lock, and Hennebergpark once again confirmed the half marathon's reputation as one of the most scenic in Germany.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition of the Volkslauf Alstertal, which has been held since 1991. Over 1,000 participants from Hamburg's Wandsbek district and the entire metropolitan region completed the five distances.
The organizer was Lauftreff Alstertal e.V. As usual, the run was part of the Hamburg Running Cup, which summarizes the most important Hamburg fun runs in an annual ranking.
