Overview

The Volksfest Gmund 2025 did not take place due to a lack of festival caterers. The festival season at Lake Tegern was shifted to the other dates in Tegernsee and Bad Wiessee. The event is confirmed again for 2026.

In 2025, the traditional Volksfest Gmund am Tegernsee had to be cancelled because no festival caterer could be found who could economically manage the festival operations. Thus, the traditional season opener of the Tegernsee Volksfeste was cancelled in 2025 for the first time in a long time.

The Bavarian Championship in Fingerhakeln was relocated. For 2026, a festival caterer, Fahrenschon GmbH & Co KG, has been secured again, so Volksfest Gmund will return from May 6th to 10th, 2026 — including the 70th Bavarian Fingerhakl Championship on the festival Sunday.
