Overview

The Wunsiedel Volks- und Wiesenfest 2025 took place from July 4th to 7th at Burgermühlweiherplatz. Four days with a parade, festival tent, beer tapping, amusement rides, and a musical program. The Wiesenfest is one of the traditional festivals in Upper Franconia and part of the series of festivals in the Fichtelgebirge.

In 2025, the Wiesenfest once again transformed the festival city of Wunsiedel into a festival mile. For four days, families from the Fichtelgebirge, Vogtland, and Egerland flocked to Burgermühlweiherplatz – for the beer tapping on Friday, the family program on Saturday, the grand parade through the old town on Sunday, and the festival finale on Monday.

The festival tent of a regional brewery, dance and brass bands from the Fichtelgebirge, and classic festival rides characterized the scene. The Wiesenfest thus remained firmly anchored in the Upper Franconian festival tradition – a cultural hallmark of the region, which was recognized as intangible cultural heritage by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Arts a few weeks later.
