Volks- und Wiesenfest Wunsiedel

In 2025, the Wiesenfest once again transformed the festival city of Wunsiedel into a festival mile. For four days, families from the Fichtelgebirge, Vogtland, and Egerland flocked to Burgermühlweiherplatz – for the beer tapping on Friday, the family program on Saturday, the grand parade through the old town on Sunday, and the festival finale on Monday.

The festival tent of a regional brewery, dance and brass bands from the Fichtelgebirge, and classic festival rides characterized the scene. The Wiesenfest thus remained firmly anchored in the Upper Franconian festival tradition – a cultural hallmark of the region, which was recognized as intangible cultural heritage by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Arts a few weeks later.
