Festival for Choir, A Cappella and Vocal Art of the Kulturetage Oldenburg
For over 20 years, VOICES has been the most important forum for vocal music in Oldenburg. The Kulturetage, as the organiser, uses the series to showcase the breadth of singing – from large choirs and small a cappella formations to solo voices – in all its diversity.
The 2026 edition is spread over six evenings:
The programme includes classical choirs (mixed, male, female, boys' and chamber choirs), a cappella groups of various styles, vocal ensembles in the jazz and pop genres, and solo vocal artists. This diversity makes the series interesting for a broad audience.
VOICES has existed since the turn of the millennium. In over two decades, the series has developed its own profile and has become a meeting point for the vocal scene in Oldenburg and the North-West region.
With its halls, the Kulturetage on Bahnhofstraße offers ideal acoustics for vocal music. The intimate atmosphere allows the voices to have an immediate impact – unlike in large concert halls, singers are very close to the audience.
The styles range from Renaissance and Baroque choral music and classical oratorios to modern compositions, from traditional a cappella to jazz and Doo-Wop, and pop and singer-songwriter formats.
The 2026 edition continues the series' tradition of over 20 years. Exact artist line-ups for individual evenings will be published by the Kulturetage.
Kulturetage Oldenburg, Bahnhofstraße 11, 26122 Oldenburg.
