Overview
In 2025, the 19th edition of the Viking Festival once again proved why the event is a staple of the medieval calendar in Saxony-Anhalt: three days of camp life, mock battle performances, a craft market with over thirty stalls, and the traditional Easter bonfire on Saturday and Sunday evenings. The Solheimsippe and allied groups formed the heart of the camp, while families with children found a full day of activities in the hands-on program.
Programme
Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025
- Opening of the Viking camp, market, and mock battles from 10 AM
- Easter bonfire from 7 PM with fire show
Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025
- Family Day with Easter Bunny hunt, craft demonstrations, grand battle reenactment
- Second Easter bonfire in the evening
Easter Monday, April 21, 2025
- Last market day, final Viking tournaments, and camp dismantling
