Overview
Before the multi-year break, the Vegesacker Hafenfest was a firmly established folk festival in northern Bremen for years. Originating from an initiative by Vegesack business people and restaurateurs, it grew year by year and, at its peak, attracted a large audience to the museum harbor.
Until its multi-year interruption, the Vegesacker Hafenfest was one of the major festivals in northern Bremen. It began as a local initiative by Vegesack business people and restaurateurs and developed year by year — with live music, stalls, and a maritime program around the historic museum harbor. Over the years, it established itself as a popular meeting place in the region before taking a break for several years and celebrating its comeback in 2026.
