Overview

The 2025 edition of the Veganes Straßenfest Hamburg took place on Saturday, August 9th, on Spielbudenplatz in St. Pauli. Over 40 stalls offering plant-based street food, natural cosmetics, and animal welfare initiatives, as well as a packed stage program with cooking shows and live music, attracted over 20,000 visitors. The record attendance led to the festival expanding to two days for the first time in 2026.

On August 9th, 2025, the Veganes Straßenfest once again transformed Spielbudenplatz in St. Pauli into a plant-based culinary mile. Over 40 stalls offered street food, fair products, and information on animal rights and sustainable consumption. Three cooking shows, live music, and a raffle provided a varied stage program.

With over 20,000 visitors, the festival recorded a record – the reason for the organizers from Animal Rights Watch e.V. to expand the format to two days in 2026. Admission was free, and proceeds went to selected animal welfare organizations.
