A Folk Festival with Long Tradition

The Varreler Markt is one of the oldest and most popular folk festivals in the Stuhr district of Varrel and has been attracting visitors from the entire Diepholz district and the Bremen surrounding area to the idyllic grounds of Gut Varrel for decades. What began as a small village festival market has become a firm fixture in the event calendar of the municipality of Stuhr, combining funfair enjoyment, flea market culture, and musical highlights in one place.

Programme: A Colourful Mix for All Generations

The Varreler Markt programme covers a wide spectrum. Classic fairground rides and carousels provide a funfair atmosphere, while the traditional flea market attracts bargain hunters and collectors to the estate. Musically, the offerings range from live concerts by regional bands to the highly acclaimed 80s and 90s party, where the DJ booth becomes the dance floor. A round of Bingo offers additional entertainment, and a lavish cake buffet provides the necessary refreshment between programme items.

Family-Friendly Offerings

The youngest guests also get their money's worth: the Stuhr Art School organises its own children's programme with hands-on activities and creative workshops, making the Varreler Markt a true family experience. Parents and grandparents can find opportunities for socialising and conversation in the seating areas and the festival grounds.

Organisers and Commitment

Behind the market is the Sparclub Varreler Krug, a dedicated association that has been organising the festival with volunteer work for many years. The combination of tradition, conviviality, and entertainment is what makes the Varreler Markt so charming.
